Hi Zulu,

Great work indeed! And for people like me coding XHTML / CSS manually very good program. Very good review and about DreamWeaver, your program does a better XHTML/CSS job I am sure because between the break at my work we learn DreamWeaver and it is not strong with XHTML/CSS.

I have only one question :

Is it possible to create a Windows version?

Anyway because I have a Macintosh, I will download the Mac version.

Have a nice day and all the best.

Friendly greetings,

Bad_Wolf

Pandoras Pests is a game I developed in REALbasic for Koingo Software using the soon-to-be-released version 2.0 of RBGLSprites as the game engine.

Is your editor based on the EDITFIELD? or did you make your own canvas based custom class? or something else?

Here is a screen shot from a Programmers Editor that I have been working on.... My plan is to have more focused functionality than either bbEdit or Textmate, something along the lines of "UltraEdit" for windows... except of course it will be on the OSX platform. Everything here is canvas based custom classes I have designed. This shows just the "core editor" class, the finished product of course will have all the support features included a custom file DIFF engine, Language Syntax modules, PHP syntax checker / code formatter etc.. etc.. etc..
Image

as of now... still a work in progress....

Today it is based on the standard EditField ( with miles of code in the KeyDown Event ). I have tested some custom editfields based on canvas .. But the problem is that mostly things becomes very slow using UTF-8 ( both drawing the text and syntax coloring )

The standard EditField have been criticized a lot the past years .. but in my case I beet some other Cocoa Editors that just hangs when trying to load a bigger file. ( perhaps depending on the syntax coloring )

The screen shot below is that of a table viewer and manager that I developed for viewing RealSQLdatabases ( or SQLite ) files.

It still is not finished but I use it almost daily to view/edit tables from other projects. The ListBox is made from three ListBoxes. The checkbox (listbox) on the left is frozen so horizontal scrolling does not remove it. The header is also a seperate listbox. All components of the ListBox are in a Container Control. All code for reading and writing changes are contained in the Container Control. The yellow EditField is for editing multi-line text for any cells in the table that contain multi-line text.

I've developed about 70 educational programs for vision science and clinical eye care. They're available only for vision science, optometry, ophthalmology or neurology faculty. Screenshots can be found at:

I've made a MIDI player and Piano Keyboard practicing application called Rondo.

Image

[Update] One of the (mildly) interesting things about this app from a coder POV is that the listboxes are all entirely fake but work almost exactly like a real one. The main pianola view you can see here is a subclass of my listbox and use OpenGl to do the drawing - including the header. There is also a transparent listbox in there somewhere as well - you don't see the header or background but can scroll a 'list' of items against the window background.

I'm also making a drawing program called AlphaDraw though I have decided to finish it in C++ and Cocoa as I will be able to use big chunks of it for some iPhone apps I want to do.

Here is the current Cocoa version:

I've done a number of things for The Day Job, though I can't really show any of it due to confidentiality. I do sell one piece of software from my web site, Simple Cataloger (http://www.oatmealandcoffee.com/software/simplecataloger/), which is doing alright for me so far.
Image
I'm also working on an easy-to-use MIDI editor with extra features not seen in current editors. Screenshot below. The track list on the left is a subclassed ListBox and the main editing area on the right is a subclassed Canvas.
