Post subject: Importing of Visual Basic forms not working
PostPosted: Mon Nov 07, 2005 2:59 pm
Ok, using RB 2005r4 Linux, I cannot import Visual Basic 6 .frm files into the Project Editor as described by the latest user guide:

Quote:
1 (Optional, for Macintosh users) Move your Visual Basic form files (those
ending in.frm) over to your Macintosh.
2 Open a new or existing project in REALbasic.
3 Drag the form files from the desktop into the Project Editor to import
them.

The form's .frx file is also on the Desktop along with the .frm file.

Has anyone had any luck getting this to work?

Thanks in advance!

RB 2005r4 Linux
Knoppix 4.0 (Debian based)
Pentium-III 930 MHz
256 MB RAM

That's actually a pre-2005 feature (i.e. RB 5.5.5 supports it), but it doesn't work with the Mac or Windows IDE either, so it's not specific to the Linux IDE.

Hi William,

Thanks for the update. I'll go ahead and submit a request on the feedback system to have the documentation updated.

Thanks!

It now appears that the feedback system won't accept my report...it just sits there after clicking 'Create Report'

Oh well
