I'm not sure why I'm asking this, because of the 7,000+ programs I have sold, only 4 of them were for Linux users.

But maybe it is because of the installer for my software.

For Mac OS X I user DropDMG.

For Windows I use Tarma Installer.

Is there any third party software that I can use to make an easy, user-friendly installer app under Linux?

I thank everyone in advance for insights, tips, advice, recommendations, guidelines, and so on!

Really depends on what distro of linux that the user is running
You might go for a tgz file (tar + gzipped) but that's just a compressed file not an "installer"
You can also package them up as a .deb file which acts more like an installer

But, like you said, 4 / 7000 seems like a lot of effort for very small pay back

Yep, that's why I'm looking for an easy installer. Something I only have to spend a couple of hours on (like DropDMG for Mac OS X and Tarma Installer for Windows).

I actually did do a tgz file. I was hoping for some easy program that can build an RPM package. My target OS is Ubuntu.

I've used InstallJammer on Ubuntu and it works nicely.

Alas, I see that they recently stopped development of it. That's too bad, but maybe it will still be useful to you. It certainly is easy to use.
