Try pointing the symlink to the 32-bit version. I suspect the error message from the system loader is bad. And no, it won't be able to open it for a 32-bit application (the data pointer sizes would be all wrong).

think i found it just run strace on realbasic

it looks /lib/tls/i686/sse2/libcups.so.2 there for the library which doesn't exists /lib/tls doesnt exists so it just stops but i think i can fix that

ok i copied the so from my notebook (slackware 32bit )

it stoped asking for libcups.so.2 but it now asks for a lot of other stuf

so i think it just doesn't work on 64 bit systems
