I am developing on a MAC (Intel (10.6)) with version 2009r5. I have a app that runs on MAC and Windows but not Linux. So I build a simple app (Window, button, MsgBox, done; called the simple app Myapplication) this also fails to run on Linux. My Linux box is Ubuntu 9.04.

When I run MyApplication it exits with a segment fail. The failure is in the dynamic load library ld-linux.so.2 (symbolic link to ld-2.9). If I run ldd on MyApplication this also fails with a segment. If I read the elf info none of the library names are resolved. (readelf -a MyApplication)

Any Idea where the lib information is or why its wrong??

I downloaded and installed a trail version of RB on my Linux box. Build the same app as an executable and it runs fine. If I perform ldd or readelf on this executable all information is present. aaaarrrhhhhh.

Today I looked over an hour why an app failed to run on a linux machine just to see that I uploaded it with FTP in ASCII mode instead of Binary, which corrupted the app.

Greetings
Christian

Never assume, I am humbled. I zipped up the release and transferred the file and it works. My Linux boxes run vsftp (ftp server) and I believed the binary mode was forced even when requesting ASCII.
Thank you for the help.
