I'm working on a game which uses the EditableMovie class. I can't compile it for Linux, though - it always says that plugin rbqt isn't supported for Linux.... any workarounds, suggestions, etc? This bug is driving me up the wall.... :(

EditableMovie uses QuickTime and there is no QuickTime on Linux.

PS: How would a game use this class?

Greetings
Christian

I didn't know the EditableMovie needed QuickTime - I learned something new today! :)
Thanks for the info, Christian!

The game takes a Quicktime movie (a fireball animation, to be precise), writes it to a temp movie file on disk, and uses the EditableMovie class to convert the movie into a sequence of pictures. I really don't want to hard-code the animation as a series of pics, since I'd have to use an array of Canvases and there's >200 pics in the animation - that would eat so much memory... *winces*
Any suggestions on getting an alternative to the EditableMovie or Canvas array?

Thanks! :)

I would suggest adding those frames in one big picture and using graphics.drawpicture to draw only the part needed at a time.

Greetings
Christian
