Code that works through a bitmap pixel by pixel at a reasonable lick (2 seconds) under Windows and the Mac, takes over a minute to complete on Linux.
I am prepared to believe this is due to running under VMWare, but it seems to be the only area affected: all other aspects of the app seem to perform as normal.

Is this a Linux thing, a VMWare thing, or a me-being-thick thing?

I think I'll be fine:
The killer part of the app was a nested loop that processed an image.
I have managed to work out how to do what I need using Transform, so the problem should go away when I get back to Linux.
(Still not sure if releasing a Linux version is worth the hassle, but I'll probably get it out eventually...:> )
