My app , which works fine in OSX and Windows, has getopenfolder calls in it for a variety of uses.
I understand that Linux file system is case sensitive, (which caused much hilarity when trying to get the thing to run at all..)

So it is probably this which causing my file open dialogs to see no files at all when I go to open one.

In the Mac, you can rely on the file types, and to a lesser extent the file extension.
On the PC, the extension is everything.

I suppose the same must be true on Linux: but if my image files are .jpg, .JPG, .Jpg, .JPEG, .gif ...

What do I have to do to make an app in Linux see 'all types of images, no matter what case the extension has'?
