Running Fedora Core 4 I installed the REALbasic rpm without a problem. I can start it immediately after the install and all works fine.

Later that day however I get a 'Segmentation fault' error when trying to run from a terminal :? (the link is useless as well)

I've tried re-installing only to have the same out come; works for a while then won't work at all.

help?

Yoiks -- so it works sometimes while launching, and other times it doesn't? That's strange. Are you running with the security enhancements on by any chance?

Did you try using the RPM instead of the direct download? I haven't had trouble running RB on Fedora since using the RPM to install.

I downloaded the rpm for Red Hat from the REALbasic website.

It only works the first few times I start it after the install. I try it out for a few hours but by the next day: 'Segmentation fault'.

I just want to add that I am having a similiar experience running on Redhat Enterprise Worksation. RB runs for a while and then pretty soon it just quits loading. Strange indeed.
