Hi,

I just installed RB basic for linux on SUSE 9.3 and it was working OK although a bit slow.

Just after that I run the online update for SUSE and it updated the kernel (to 2.6.xx I think - I am a newbie and I just answered yes to the prompts - bummer!) amongst other things. After this RB no longer starts at all. I tried unistalling and installing but nothing changed.

This is the smp kernel (dual Xeon machine).

Anyone has any suggestions on how to diagnose the problem? Does RB create a startup log somewhere?

Cheers
Jose

Back to normal after running YAST yet another time (apparently it reinstalled the kernel from the original CDs all by itself - meaning I did not ask for it...) and starting RB from a console in superuser mode (su...) which requested another license and now everything seems to be working.

Sorry for jumping the gun so early but maybe this will help someone.

Cheers
Jose

I found RB to run much faster after I upgraded to SuSE 10.0
