How do I set it so I can access the LR from within the IDE? I looked in /etc/ld.so.conf.d but it is empty.I also installed the full mozilla suite. I am running PCLinuxOS.

Thanks,

Tom

I've been trying since the first public betas and I can't make it work. I just browse the page files in a browser. and I bought the printed LR.

There have been a few suggestions given in the email NUG, but none have worked for me. There are also a few bug reports in the database. You could add your name to one of them.

Ive tried everything .....
Just cant get the LR or any of the PDF's to display in the IDE
I just launch them by hand and they work fine (rather have them launch in the IDE)
Also bought the Printed DOC's (but I always buy printed material when available)

Well I just hope someday I can figure out why I cant get this part of RB to work.
Other than that RB is rocking....
Using it on Windows and Linux and loving it! :-)

Yeah using Linux and Windows to program with is way cool. Definitely better than what I did with VB.

I had heard somewhere on the mail list that you could get the LR to show up in the IDE, but I think whoever it was did it on Suse 9.3.

Thanks.

Tom

Heres a clip I found in the mail archives...

Quote:
On SuSE 9.3 and SLES9, make sure mozilla is installed (firefox does not
provide libgtkembedmoz.so).

Running your applications or the RB IDE with a wrapper script
containing:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/mozilla/lib/ /path/to/your/app

Or as root, you can drop a config in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/
named realbasic.conf (or whatever you want .conf), containing:
/opt/mozilla/lib/

Then run ldconfig.

With either option, HTMLViewer will then work, as well as items
depending on it, like the Language Reference in the IDE.

Drakx,
Thanks for the help but I checked and the symlinks are ok but still not working for me.

In the RB IDE I can launch the "about real basic" website and it launches in mozilla just fine.

But the Lang Ref and any of the PDF's do nothing....

Any other ideas??

Thanks,
Briman
