Any ideas why this could be happening?

RS2012R2.1, Cocoa Build.

I have a main window and a couple support windows. When one of the support windows is opened it has the option to insert a new record and I was attempting to do this using a sheet window so the user can enter the data. When I close the sheet window pressing the Cancel button everything works fine, when I press the Escape key the app crashes immediately. I really canĀ“t figure this one out. There is no code in the Cancel button other than a Self.Close, funny thing is that the code works perfectly but the Escape key triggers an app crash.

I tried changing the sheet window to a docuement window for testing purposes and the app still crashes when the Esc key is pressed.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Edit: Now any key press triggers the crash, no change in code whatsoever. Getting worst, now any keypress in any of the support forms triggers the crash. This is getting weirder by the minute.

Have you been able to add a breakpoint in the Window Keydown event and stopped the app during debugging?

Thanks for your responce.

I believe te app is crashing even before the keydown is fired. I have a breakpoint in there that is never reached.

can you create a sample app the exhibits this same behaviour and post it?

Last time I had an issue, when creating the "sample" ... I found the problem :)

I have not been able to reproduce it. Which of course baffles me even more.

Must be something in my code but I can't seem to catch it.

I'm rewriting everything from the last stable point.

Thanks for your reply.

Sometimes it's also worth using System.log or System.debugLog for logging the last steps the app took before crashing without notice.

Good idea. I'll try that.

Thanks!
