Hi,

I created a programme my desktop WinXP machine and it runs fine when run from the hard drive or else from a USB drive.

However, when I tried to run the same programme from a USB drive on a laptop WinXP computer then I get a "The handle is invalid." error as the programme loads. However, if I copy the programme and Libs folder from the USB drive to the desktop then it works fine.

The user of the laptop is a member of Administrators and I can't seem to find any security policy on the computer that prohibits programmes runnning from the USB drive.

If I was getting same error when running from a USB drive on both computers then I could understand that I had made an error somewhere along the line. However, the fact that it works from a USB drive on one computer but not the other is intriguing.

Please can you tell me, has anyone else encountered the same issue (I tried searching but nothing came up)? Thank you.

Regards,

Ian

If so, could you let me / us know.

Thanks.

It's just a guess, but maybe they enabled this feature: http://www.ehow.com/how_7276659_disable ... s-gpo.html
