Does anyone had this same problem
"On windows 7 my taskbar is hidden after i clicked an item of the trayitem menu and showing a window"?

The steps i took:
- Add trayitem (subclassed) as property of "App"
- Create an instance of the TrayItem inside App.Open
- Add code to remove the trayitem on App.Close
- Add a menu when the RightMouseButton is clicked on the trayitem

Run (debug and/or build) hides the taskbar when a menuitem was clicked..?
(i open a window in the click action)

I have tested it now to be working. As timhare suggested "menubar visible" should be checked.
I assigned the menu to be "none" and it works.

Very strange undocumented behavior.

It seems pretty well documented to me. http://docs.realsoftware.com/index.php/Window.MenuBarVisible

The only thing strange about the property is I've never figured a use for it and, on Windows 7 (and probably Vista) it doesn't hide the globe — awkwardly ditching it in the lower corner with no friends and a bunch of sneering, better than you, icons.

i meant for what i needed eg: the TrayItem. There is no documentation to be found that MenuBarVisible should be on for each window if you use TrayItem.

I did know there was info about it in MenuBarVisible documentation. Only could not get my mind into it.
Anyway thanks.

A tip for RS: documentation chaining is important. So please add a note to the bottom of the TrayItem documentation that it's required to have MenuBarVisible for the windows it uses.

But that has nothing to do with TrayItem. Why would TrayItem even mention it?

Because if it's unchecked (MenuBarVisible) for any window the taskbar disapears and leaving the start button there.
It would be usefull to know where you can find a problem, instead of filling the forums with all those questions. You know what i mean? just a simple note, "When you use the TrayItem class to show a window with a MenuItem popup, be sure to check the Window.MenuBarVisible = True so you won't loose the taskbar on windows"

That should never happen, it's the software doing that (eg not windows) so must have something to do with RS.
The taskbar should be desapering completely. Not that i need that...

Right, but it applies to showing a window in any fashion, not just via the taskbar. It's a Window issue, and should be documented in the Window class (which it is). I don't mean to nitpick, but you would have to mention MenuBarVisible everywhere, because you can show a window from just about anywhere. It just doesn't seem to be TrayItem specific.

i understand.
Still i could not find the problem. eg Taksbar has nothing to do with a window or does it? (out of my head)...

Yeah, the name of the property is very Mac-centric. It should be something like SystemUIVisible.
