So I've read that Windows XP is gettin dumped by microsoft, which doesn't support the new Direct2d and Direct3d API's that Vista and Win7 support. So i figure now would be a excellent time to start looking into using these new hardware accelerated graphics api's that are a replacement for GDI+.
GDI+ has been wonderful, and much more powerful then realbasics graphics/pictures classes in terms of speed/functionality/quality, But its no longer being updated by microsoft and hardware acceleration is practically non.

Is it even possible to use these API's (Direct2d and Direct3d) in realstudio by using declares alone, or does REALStudio lack the requirements to put it to use?
