When using a touch screen in Windows 7, mouse events aren't getting fired on a touch. If I drag after touch, a mousedown followed by mousedrag event occurs or if I touch and release a mousedown and mouseup will fire but only after I lift my finger. This is the case regardless of how my touch setting in Windows 7 are set. Is there any way to capture the initial touch event in Windows 7 or tell it to fire a mousedown event on touch like older versions of windows used to? My program works fairly well but I have a few buttons I allow the user to hold down to repeatedly increase or decrease a value and with a touch screen they do nothing until after the touch. I also have a listbox the user can spin to navigate but it delays before any scrolling since it has to wait for a drag before it registers anything.
