Hi to everybody.
You excuse the stupid question and surely set by a beginner of Real.
I don't succeed in inserting the plugs in in the projects.
I have followed the instructions brought in the guide: I put the plugs in in the briefcase
C:\Programmi\REAL Software\REALbasic 2007r3\Plugins
and I open the project but these they are not loaded by the Real.
Where am I wrong?
thanks thousand for any help and excused he anchors me for the very stupid question.
Tommy

It's hard to say what the issue might be -- there are a lot of reasons a plugin might not load. For starters: Is the plugin a native shared library? Or an RBX file?

I try to insert whichever rbx file.
To in particular he serves me to succeed to load that one for interface with ODBC. I must make one simulation with ODBC in order to decide what to use in order to develop a software. the file have this name ODBC Plugin 2007.rbx
If you succeed to help to me you would make me a great favor.
thanks

So you're not developing your own plugin, you're trying to use one that's already been made?

Try this:

1) Quit all copies of the IDE
2) Move the .rbx file into the Plugins directory
3) Re-launch the IDE (make sure you're launching the right one, if you have multiple copies installed)

See if that allows you access to the plugin.

Use a plug of third parts. I have begun hour to watch as the Real works. I must decide if the company must begin to use the Real to the place of the VB. If they are in the mistaken forum scusami.
What you have said to make to me I have made it but in combo “the Plug IN” control me the plug does not appear in that I have inserted in the directory plugin.
I have tried to insert others plug in but he does not come loaded null.
I do not understand… The directory plugin it is the one which is found in the folder
C:\Programmi\REAL Software \ REALbasic 2006r1?
Exists an other way in order to load the plug in?
I use a windows xp.
Thanks and excuse anchors

ODBC won't show up in the plugin controls list in the window editor as it doesn't expose any controls. Instead, the following code:

dim test as ODBCDatabase

If that compiles, then the ODBC plugin has been installed properly.
