Hi,

I have just started using RealBasic to teach programming at my school. I am keen to develop some (very) simple game examples for my pupils to work with. To start with I'd like them to get a sprite moving back and forth across the screen, that kind of thing.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some simple game examples. I looked at the SpriteSurface control in the Language Reference, but that's way too complicated for the level of my pupils.

Is there an easier way to shift a sprite across a screen just by updating it's coordinates?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Use any control (canvas seems most appropriate) and change its Left and Top properties

...in a timer so you can control the speed of its movement.

Or just once each time a specific button or key is pressed.
