Hello all,
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm working on releasing v0.1 of my take on an OpenGL-based RB3D replacement soon.

I've included a link to a demo app that allows you to drag a binary 3DMF or text OBJ file (3D objects MUST be triangulated -- no quads or n-gons) into the main window and allows you do perform certain actions on said object. There are a few objects included for you to play with.

It's Mac-only at the moment, and the demo is a bit rough around the edges and doesn't show off everything described in the included GL draft PDF, but it should give you an idea of what it's capable of.

I've been meaning to delve a little into the opengl bits and pieces.

Thanks for posting this Jeff, I'll take a look.

Kind Regards,
Shane

This was obviously intended for a larger display.
On my MBP the window with all the controls lands half off screen and refuses all attempts to be repositioned.
Not sure what to say about this one as it is difficult to evaluate like this (the top 200 pixels or so of controls work  )

Also I found two binaries -
"OpenGL Test" which appears to be a universal binary
and
"OpenGL Test (Mac OS X)" which appears to be PPC only

I presume they are from the same source as both make presumptions about my screen size.

Sorry about that. I've updated the demo to try and account for at least the screen height.
