Post subject:  PostgreSQL Crash on SQLExecute

Hello all,

I have an odd problem happening. Whenever I try to insert a record into a PostgreSQL database table, the RS app crashes. The strange thing is, the data arrives and IS inserted into the database! I have verified this by using the Postgre PGAdminIII tools.

The app is a Console app, currently testing under Windoz 7 hm premium.

Windoz shows this:

The same table is used in a web app. In fact the same table, the same class (code) is used in a web app that works perfectly!

I am using RS 2012r2.1, but with an older plugin (the new one will NOT work - it will NOT open the database). The date of the plugin is 10/18/2012.

Can anyone suggest an idea why this is happening?

Thank you,

Did you try testing this with MySQLCommunityServer so you can single out PostgreSQL?

Is the code peripheral to where you do the insert any different than the WE application? Nothing suggests to me that the insertion is what's causing the crash. What happens immediately after?
