 Post subject: How to compact a ms access database ?

I have have a ms access db. I perdormed a 'Delete * from table' statement but the file kept the same size. Is there something similar to the sqlit vacuum command ?

you have to create a new file from the old.
Its not a question of doing it in situ

DBEngine.CompactDatabase source, dest

What if I delete the table, instead of the single records, and then i create again a new table?
