Hello

I have a question about if you create a Realbasic Database file and use it in your project will it be able to handle a large amount data? Lets say something like 1 or 2 million records? Would that cause any problems?

What would be the size or record limit on the database?

If you create a new column as a varchar what is the size of the field please?

Can it handle up to 5 to 10 users loged in at the same time?

Thanks

Should not be a problem

Since REAL SQL Database uses SQLIte as the underlying engine you might check http://sqlite.org/limits.html

The REAL SQL Database is not intended to be multi-user
You might be able to make it work but I'd suggest you investigate a database server

Whoa... npalardy is quite knowledge pretty much in every field. I was also wondering if there's a cap on the number of records. Muchas gracias. What a hero...

Based on info I found... the limit is based more on the internal Primary Key value SQLlite uses [64bit signed Integer] there for it has the paltry limit of only 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 records. Assuming each record was 1024 bytes long
that would be 8,589,934 TERRABYTE database.... so I dont think you have anything to worry about
