Just curious as to what others do. I haven't included any error checking when saving data to existing records or writing to new records. All works fine but if I plan to build a multi-client project working with a server should I include error checking?

I've always "assumed" that RB would handle any record locks..etc when writing to a database.

Of course I do have code to test if a connection has been accomplished but other than that I don't know if there is a need to do error checking each time the program writes to the database.

Am I wrong in my assumption?

You should always check the Database.Error property after every database command, regardless of whether or not you are using a server.

Thank Paul.....

Thanks to you and others I've learned that error checking is essential. :)
