Chris,

I looked at the app again but still don't see any options for anything other than metro style. Maybe I'm overlooking the obvious, but if I wanted to apply a drop shadow or 3D effect... how would I do it. The only effects I found you can apply still leaves you with a metro style icon. The only thing I found under the help options is a 2 minute youtube video.

jharris

They have a limited set of icons but they can be exported up to 256px with transparent or round backgrounds. They also have a character icon creator thingy. I just tested a few icons with a Mac style menu and they work great. They are certainly not metro looking if you don't want them to be. In my opinion they are great for embossed icons and simple interfaces like remote control buttons etc. I use full colour icons in my apps but this is yet another toolkit for generating icons - Metro or otherwise.

Thanks Chris,

I thought I was missing something but maybe not. I guess it all depends on what a persons definition of metro style is. It's definitely a good icon tool to have around if it creates the style you need.
