Hi,

I am searching for a way to interact with a 3d drawing.
We are building a web application which shows a construction drawing. Regarding to the user inputs we need to show or hide some of the layers.

Initially I hoped using png images for each layer and just combine them, but this does not work because some elements have to partial overlap others.

So now I need to find a way to interact with that 3d drawing directly.

Output could be a simple jpg, but I need to modify layers of the 3d drawing in code.

Sketchup supports .dae, .kmz, .3ds, .dwg, .dxf, .fbx, .obj, .wif, .xsi

Does somebody have an idea how to do this?

Best regards

Fabian

I have a set of classes that can handle .obj files. It's still a work-in-progress, but it can handle 3D interactions, such as show/hide layers.

You can find it at http://www.jcquan.com/REALbasic
