I know this should be a bug report, but I can't get the new feedback system to let me in, so I'm just going to post the workaround here. Maybe someone else can report it.

To reproduce the bug:
1) Create a container control.
2) Place an instance of the control on a window.
3) Rename the container control.

The instance has now vanished from the window. (I am using RB 2010r1; I don't know if this happens in other versions.)

To work around the bug:
1) Duplicate the container control.
2) Rename the duplicate.
For each instance on each window:
3) Set the instance's Super to "ContainerControl".
4) Set the instance's Super to the renamed duplicate.
Finally:
5) Delete the original container control.
