Lennox -
I don't think anyone running Lion is gong to be successful because, unlike previous OS's, Lion restricts writing to the desktop. Please allow the user of your software to designate a target folder for the DL. That way we can choose a folder with execute permissions and all should be well.
Thanks

Post subject:  MacOSLib Wiki has been updated with git download instruction

Sorry for the confusion.
I've just now updated the instructions on the MacOSLib's wiki pages accordingly:

Perhaps it makes sense to make it clear that recent versions of Xcode install git. This means that the terminal command can usually just be run, if you're ultimately building for the MAS (since you probably have Xcode as well).

Also: Pulling a refresh on a git cloned project while Real Studio has its resources opened is usually problematic. In my case at least if I have any file opened linked to the macoslib files and I refresh then I'll get all sorts of weird errors upon trying to build or run, and these errors persist after restarts, even. I usually end up having to delete the macoslib folder and re-add it.

Right. That's a real annoyance. I had actually tried to fix this in the RB source code myself when I was working on it briefly in 08 but my efforts were discarded and nothing has happened since.

May I encourage you to file a feedback request about this? The more people ask the more likely it'll eventually be fixed.
