Does anyone know of any plugin for creating PDF417 barcodes in realbasic apps?

Maybe the DynaPDF Plugin has this, but i find it pretty expensive.

Dont know really if ther is anything else, but ill be interested too..

I don't believe it does, after reading the documentation it appears to me that, with dynapdf 3 you can create barcode fields but only acrobat reader can initialize and dynamically generate the barcodes from the user input.
It's unfortunate that the folks from itsapparent.com, who have made a very sophisticated barcode app with RB, are unwilling to license barcode libraries.

A comprehensive barcode plugin library would be quite useful - perhaps another future project for Christian..

DynaPDF 3 does support barcodes in PDF files.
But if I'm right PDF417 is a barcode format which has nothing to do with the PDF file format.

no your right pdf417 is a type of barcode it has nothing to do with adobe pdf.

No need for a plugin. It's some math and drawing to picture to create them.

A plugin makes only sense if you can reuse a C library.

im sure i can find some usefull C libraries for this.
The other way is create a canvas and draw it, or using a free command-line utitlity that builds/generates barcodes.
You could find them on the web with a little help of google..
