 Post subject: Simple FTP upload example?

Does anybody knows which is the simpliest way to upload custom file to my web server.
I want to select file "picture.jpg" which is on the Desktop, and to upload in custom folder ("public") to web server.
I suppose that FTP is simpliest way.
Please give me advice or write example.

I've been working on an FTP socket for RB. Feel free to use it/borrow code: https://github.com/charonn0/RB-FTP It's still a work-in-progress, but logging in and uploading a file works.
