Hi,

I come from a VB6 background but am new to Real Studio. I am running 2011r4.3 (Enterprise Edition, Academic) on a Mac 10.7.4 and am trying to create a first Web app as follows:

File -> New Project -> Web -> Choose
Project -> Build Settings -> Build for the current platform
Project -> Build Settings -> Debug Port 8081; Build Type Stand Alone (Port 8080)

However, if I add a control, e.g., Checkbox, to WebPage1 and then Save and Run then I can see the App trying to load in Firefox (14.0.1) at 127.0.0.1:8081 but when the progress bar reaches about 75% I get a "The application has gone off-line" error message and the Real Studio IDE is no longer in debug mode. Presumably what I was meant to see was the form with the Checkbox and the IDE still in debug mode?

The strange thing is that if I then build the app and double-click to run then I can see the form as expected at 127.0.0.1:8080.

To check, I installed Real Studio on another Mac and also a Win7 machine but see the same behaviour.

Apologies if this was a newbie question but what else do I need to do to debug the Web app? Thank you.

Dear Daniel,

Many thanks for the reply and fix in the second link you mentioned. That worked a treat!

Regards,

Ian
