Hey all, Question: what i'm i doing wrong here?
I've scoured the internet, read through mail archives, even read the LR, and can't make heads or tails why this code isn't working.

the LR reads, for HttpSocket.get
HTTPSocket.Get ( URL As String )

Asynchronously downloads the content from URL. When the page content is received, the PageRecieved event is called.
You need to subclass HTTPSocket (or use AddHandler) so that you can handle the appropriate events.

Snippet of My Code, with several variations.

dim http as HTTPSocket
http = new HTTPSocket
http.Get "http://www.apple.com" // <-- syntax error

dim http as HTTPSocket
http = new HTTPSocket
http.Get "http://www.apple.com"; // <-- syntax error

dim http as HTTPSocket
http = new HTTPSocket
http.Get ("http://www.apple.com";) // <-- syntax error

I can get it "synchronously" to work, if I provide a timeout etc..
just not Async,.

I'm I subclassing this correctly?

thank you all for the help
