hello,

Is there a any away to bound and listen HTTPServerSocket to localhost/127.0.0.1 so firewall wont ask?

Please share the code so i can understand, because i already got this from some where but can't make it to work.

HTTPServerSocket is a subclass of ServerSocket. Take a look at the docs for ServerSocket:
<http://docs.realsoftware.com/index.php/ServerSocket>

You'll see a property called NetworkInterface. Change that to define which interface the socket is bound to. You can get the interfaces using the System module.
<http://docs.realsoftware.com/index.php/System>

thank you.

So there is truly only c++ or java is the best option for cross platform development, if advance settings are don't exist in realbasic?

i already found so many other things are not working in realbasic as well, like scroll bar via canvas or container never work/look ok on mac and also htmlviewer don't allow frame and file uploading method via html code if you run via localhost etc.

Well, if Real Studio does not what you want, you should discuss with others and make a case on feedback application.

For example to have a special function on system module to give you lookback network interface or to have GetNetworkInterface report that interface, too.

Same for other things. If you see bugs or need features, please report them. I personally see no reason why a self made scrollbar in a canvas should not work or what trouble you have with containers. They work fine for me. htmlviewer does frames here and file uploads. But that's a different topic.

Greetings
Christian

Sure, its right inside the RealBasic Folder: Networking->Example Web Server once we compile and start the application and click on Start Server you will see firewall ask us for the permission right away because application is listing to all the ips so can you make it to work so it only bound to 127.0.0.1

thank you.

I can't change that. Fill a feature request with Feedback if you need it.
