Okay, I am trying to basically integrate my application in active directory. I am assuming I would use an OLEObject.. could someone help me get started by converting this VB6 code to Real Basic the best way.. I tried and got nowhere.
Dim adObj As Object
Dim adUser As Object
Set adObj = GetObject("WinNT://Domain")
Set adUser = adObj.Create("user", "RobDog888")
adUser.SetInfo
Set adUser = Nothing
Set adObj = Nothing

Define 'integrate'. What exactly are you hoping to achieve, simple authentication, record lookups, adding users and computers, kerberizing services, or what?

What platform are you on? On the Mac you can use dscl (Directory Service command line utility) from a shell to connect to Active Directory. I use it extensively in one of my applications.
