Absolutely looking forward to this!

Also: How will it work?

Since gcc4.2 don't work well with windows (without cygwin) and Linux n Mac without confangling the settings... It compiles directly to iOS Assembly :-) it works fine for iOS 3 upto 4.3....5 has a few crashes still.. But after compiling it signs the IPA with your apple keychain (or leaves unsigned for jailbroken idevices)

Ehm, this confuses me a bit... First you say it translates your language to Objective-C (which is then compiled "with a platform ARM GCC 4.2"), then you say it compiles directly to iOS assembly. Maybe I just misunderstood something (which happens, from time to time :P), could you please explain?

I checked the site of simulanics but there is no mention of this there still.

Any idea as to how things are progressing.

it might be dead due to the fact it may be in violation of the Real Studio EULA regarding creation of competeing IDE project, compilers etc discussed elsewhere on this forum.

(just a guess on my part)

After looking at the site it seems that simulanics is busy with eyeOS and is going to develop an IDE like VB that will allow one to write apps for eyeOS.

That would be it, compile the software to run under ios :D
But on his HP its really looking he switched to EyeOS.

BTW Isn't IOS Coding not something, Realstudio could do native (not now obviously) ? Wasn't there something planned already ?

There's a request for it but I would think it's a long way until that happens. New LLVM and stuff :)

Sorry. With all the updates for the latest iOS version I havnt had time to release the multiplatform iOS compiler yet. Ive been integrating my SimScript interpreter so that apps can be generated in pure iOS binary or interpreted through embedded scripting using a "drag drop" development system like real studio. There is a SimScript siminfo script at

http://macrinoria.com/demos/siminfo.sim

Which is much like the basic phpinfo(); which is generated in PHP... But for SimScript. All is coded purely in RS. Throughout the forums you can still find the Pre Pre (early releases:-)) of the SimScript interpreter and dev software for iOS. It's been a long process.. But it is still alive and well. It's mostly been a hobby project and "proof-of-concept."

As for eyeOS, (not to be confused with iOS) I am affiliated and this project has no correlation or relation to eyeOS in part, whole, or design :-) it's a piece of software to design, Create, compile, sign, and distribute apps for iOS (apple) devices without having to use proprietary apple based software or huge flash based frameworks. :-) it's RS for iOS :-)

I am a little confused by that. Is that software now for develop..... oh I got it now.
If done, I can write software in/under eyeOS and compile it for use on iOS. Correct ?
