What is the best way to print out the REAL Studio documentation (Getting Started, Tutorial, Language Reference, etc.)?

You could download all the docs with a tool like HTTrack, and just print all te files.

Carharttguy,

Thanks for the suggestion. As I understand it, however, HTTrack "allows you to download an entire website (or part of it) and save it to a local directory for offline browsing." That's not really what I'm looking for.

True, with something like HTTrack "you can browse the ... site without having to be online," but -- online or offline -- you still need a computer to read the documentation, and REALbasic already gives me the choice of reading the documentation offline. What I want is a printed copy (a hardcopy) of the documentation that I can carry with me.

Are there any suggestions for doing that?

That can be done with Adobe Acrobat Pro :)
Anyway, you'll get a PDF that you can easily print.

Do not crawl our documentation. People have done it in the past, it puts unnecessary strain on the server, and I will be forced to take action to keep our servers runnings nicely.

Sorry to be harsh, but I need to make myself clear.

Should really be available as an off-line option why not just bundle it with each release or make available as a download?

Guys, check the contents of your download.

Once you have installed it of course. I have downloaded them to my iPad so I can study them whenever I have a small break at work, during meals, bed time, etc.

It's a database file. Are we supposed to write a frontend for it ourselves?

No, the IDE is the frontend.

On windows you press <alt> + <F1> to launch the local copy

If you had downloaded/Installed realstudio and had been working offline I don't know how you would know that the <alt> + <F1> even existed

Here's my experience thus far (though I may still have a lot more to learn:

(1) The best starting-place for printer-friendly Real Studio documentation seems to be here:

http://docs.realsoftware.com/index.php/Main_Page

(2) To print out a (small or large) book (or a chapter or part of a chapter) from Windows, the following seems to work fine:

Use Mozilla Firefox, navigate (from the starting-place) to the appropriate page you want to print out, and use "Print" on the "File" menu of Firefox. (Mac or Linux users may have to find something similar.)

(3) The size of a printable Web page may be from 2 pages to, say, 124 pages! (I found the latter, I think, in the User's Guide), so you may want to be prepared for that. Most people will probably NOT want to print out the entire User's Guide or other large book. In particular, to print out the entire Language Reference would seem to be of dubious value.

(4) The following comments at http://docs.realsoftware.com/index.php/About by Real Software may be or may not be accurate:

"Welcome to the Real Software Documentation Wiki. Here you can find the latest Documentation for Real Studio. We are actively working to provide our users with a downloadable PDFs of the Language Reference and the User's Guide for each new Real Studio release. To keep up with this and other news from Real Software you can join our Newsletter https://realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/| mailing list or subscribe to the http://www.realsoftwareblog.com/| Real Software Blog.
"Currently, you can access updated Real Studio Documentation here at the Documentation Wiki or through the built-in Help in Real Studio. If you are working offline you can access a cached version of the Documentation in Real Studio, just go to Preferences and select "Show Local Documentation."

The reason why I say "may be of may not be accurate" is that thus far I have not discovered how to "go to Preferences." (I'm probably missing something obvious.) Can anyone help on that?

It's in the Edit menu, called Options.
