The menus seem to be leaky. When I select an item from a menu another window opens before the selected window opens. I think it may be due to references to the unwanted window from the selected window's open code. I tried putting a hide statement in the selected windows open code to force the unwanted window to go away but that doesn't always work. Any ideas? Regards, Larry

You are probably using an Implicit Window reference. This allows you to reference a window by its name, but it has side effects such as causing windows to appear simply when they are referenced.

You will likely get the results you want by instead instantiating the window directly using New.

Dim myWindow As New Window1
myWindow.Show

Whether or not you turn off implicit instantiation, this is a bad idea. There might be a thousand reasons you are trying to ref another window from an open event. If you want to describe more what you are trying to do, I'm sure some of us can offer a better suggestion.
