Hi,
I'm developing on Windows XP Pro SP3 and app works fine in the Real Studio and also compiled.

Tested on a different Windows XP Home edition computer and immediately get REgistryAccessException. I checked the registry on that computer and all of the expected registry values were there.

I will add some code to try to catch the exception and get more information...
but it seems odd it occurs on one XP computer but not on the other...

If anyone has additional thoughts, suggestions, debug techniques I am all ears...

If you can put some calls to System.DebugLog right before each registry action, you should be able to see which call is failing (use DebugView or grab WinDbg from the Windows Debugging Tools to watch the Windows debug log.)

More broadly, you might consider putting code into the App.UnhandledException event to generate a crash report. Bob Keeney's StackCleaner is useful for this.
